Swan Districts Football Club was established in 1934 and has won eight WAFL Premierships, including a pair of hat-tricks in 1961, 1962 and 1963 and then again in 1982, 1983 and 1984. Two more flags were won in 1990 and 2010, along with the distinction of having nine individual Sandover Medallists. Legendary rover Bill Walker tops the list having won the medal on four occasions, a feat not matched by any other player in the history of the competition. In 2017, the club’s female footballers were the first ever to win the Grand Final in all three grades.

Swan Districts is also more than just a football club. The club’s purpose is to build community and develop people. Our vision is to be a well-connected and community engaged football club which improves social outcomes and the sense of well-being within the Swans community. The club has an important role to create community programs to improve people’s lives in the Swans community.

The club also leads the way in developing its own talent and promoting male and female players from within. Last WAFL season, the men’s senior list comprised close to 80% of home grown players and the women’s teams had at least 95% local players.

The Swans fans are crucial to the club’s success. Last season the club enhanced the match day experience by creating the Swans Play Zone providing free give-aways, games, activities and competitions for kids at every home game. The club will continue to build on this match day transformation in 2019.

Members are welcome to come down to Steel Blue Oval and see the men and women teams train. Members are also welcome every Thursday night between February to November to enjoy a drink and a light meal upstairs in the supporters bar and be in the running to win cash jackpots in Chase the Ace and the weekly free exclusive members draw. Last year the Chase the Ace jackpot reached over $13,000 before being won. Members will also have the opportunity to meet the players after training upstairs and hear from the coach his team selection for the following game.

I look forward to you joining us in 2019.
